Rumor: Shanda, GBS JV CEO Resigns

Long Danni, president of Shineshow (Huaying Shengshi), Shanda's joint venture with Hunan Broadcasting System predecessor Golden Eagle Broadcasting System (GBS), has reportedly decided to step down. Long will continue in her role as CEO of Chinese television production company EE-Media. Long said she will use her experience at Shineshow to expand EE-Media.
According to another industry rumor, Long will be replaced as CEO of Shineshow by Zhao Yurun, who will leave his position as VP at Shanda's video licensing and distribution subsidiary Sunshine Media. Zhao declined to comment.
According to an industry insider, the management shuffle among Shanda's film & TV businesses is due to an internal change in strategy. Other rumors claim Zhao will oversee integration between Shineshow and Sunshine Media with the possibility of a future merger to create a vertical company that covers film and TV production, rights management, digital publishing, artist management, and related businesses.
