360Buy to Launch Hotel Reservation Service

Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy announced today that it is preparing to launch a hotel booking service (http://hotel.360buy.com). 360Buy said that it had formed partnerships with more than 20,000 hotels around China, including in Hong Kong and Macau.
A spokesperson for 360Buy said that the company's key strategic goal at the present stage was to transition from a focus on online 3C sales to online sales of general services, and that the next three to five years would be the crucial period for expansion. In the future, 360Buy will enter the travel market segment, to which end it is currently preparing a 'Travel' channel that will offer car rentals, resort packages, tour planning, cruises, and visa services in addition to the plane ticket and hotel reservation services it already provides.
360Buy began offering online air ticket booking services last June.
