Camelot Q2 2012 Profit Down 17% YoY

Chinese enterprise application services provider Camelot Information Systems (NYSE: CIS) has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2012, with revenue up 4.5 YoY to RMB 62.1 mln.

Net income attributable to Camelot for Q2 2012 was USD 2.4 mln, down 17.2% YoY from USD 2.9 mln in the year-ago quarter.

Enterprise application services (EAS) revenues decreased 1.9% YoY to USD 41.2 mln in the quarter but increased 4.8% from the prior quarter. The decrease in quarterly EAS revenues was primarily due to lower revenues from resource and energy customers. EAS revenues amounted to 66.4% of net revenues in the quarter. Financial industry IT services (FIS) revenues increased 20.0% YoY and 17.2% QoQ to USD 20.9 mln. FIS revenues accounted for 33.6% of the quarter's net revenues.

Camelot expects net revenues in the third quarter of 2012 of approximately USD 70 mln, representing a 28.5% increase YoY from the third quarter of 2011.
