Suning Sees Modest Sales of Microsoft Surface

Sales of Microsoft's Surface tablet at Chinese consumer electronics and home appliances retailer Suning's (002024.SZ) stores have been modest since its launch on October 26, according to the head of Suning's Nanjing operations. The sluggish sales are due to the high barrier to entry for Windows 8 compared to iOS, which is more intuitive for seniors and children, according to the Suning representative.
