Suning to Start Singles Day Promotion Early

Chinese consumer electronics and home appliances retailer Suning (002024.SZ) announced this morning that it will kick off its November 11 "Singles' Day" sale event early - beginning November 8 - at its Suning and Laox stores and on Suning.com. The five-day sale will last from November 8 to 12. Suning has set a sales target of RMB 600 mln in the Beijing area.

Suning.com announced that it has set up 106 "pick-up points" in Beijing and surrounding areas, as well as more than 50 after-sales service network points. Combined with several dozen pre-existing delivery network nodes from maternity and baby-care B2C Redbaby, Suning's service network now has service stations at two-kilometer intervals throughout the Beijing region, allowing the company to cut down delivery times to 12 hours or less.
