Dangdang Q3 2012 Customer Acquisition Cost Down to RMB 19

Chinese B2C e-commerce site Dangdang (NYSE: DANG) revealed in the company's quarterly earnings call that customer acquisition cost was approximately RMB 19 in Q3 2012, down almost 14% from RMB 22 a year before. The company also revealed that 15% of Dangdang traffic and 5%-7% of orders came from mobile handsets during the quarter.

Commissions on sales of consumer electronics on the platform were around 1%, while commissions for women's apparel and other fashion related merchandise were 10%-11%.
