Wangcheng Licenses 3D MMORPG to Vietnamese Operator

DoNews, 12/03/12

Chengdu-based online game developer and operator Wangcheng Technology has announced that it has licensed the Vietnam operating rights to its self-developed 3D martial arts MMORPG Dugu Qiubai to Vietnamese game operator VTC Online.

The game is currently undergoing the localization process and will soon begin closed beta testing of a Vietnamese-language version. According to VTC's initial plans, the game will be launched at the end of this year, closely following the launch of the mainland China version, which began closed beta testing on November 30.

VTC, Vietnam's second-largest media company, began operating online games in 2006. As of April 2011, VTC had a 35% market share with 12 game titles including Audition, CrossFire, and FIFA Online 2, all of which have 100,000 peak concurrent users (PCU).
