Rising Wins RMB 10 Mln Per Month Order from AQSIQ
Sina Tech, 12/11/12
Chinese anti-virus software developer Rising Corp recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine (AQSIQ) under which it will deploy an information security maintenance and management platform for AQSIQ. Rising's suite of anti-virus and security solutions will become the sole designated security products for AQSIQ internal networks around the country.
Rising said that the deal marked the first time its total security solution had been adopted by a national-level agency. The deal covers tens of thousands of computers, both at national AQSIQ headquarters and at 35 regional AQSIQ bureaus. Rising's security solution includes both software (Rising Antivirus) and hardware firewall and network security alert systems.
A source inside Rising said that the partnership would bring the company "at least RMB 10 mln per month."
Since making the personal edition of Rising Antivirus free in 2011, Rising has shifted its focus to the enterprise market. According to figures provided by the company, Rising has roughly 150,000 clients for its enterprise products at present. The company's revenues are divided between software, hardware, and services. Hardware and service revenues surpassed software revenues in Q1 2012 to account for a total of more than 50% of Rising's operating revenues.
