Rumor: Focus Media to Complete "Going Private" Procedure

According to a reliable industry source, Chinese out-of-home display advertising network operator Focus Media (Nasdaq: FMCN) will soon complete its "going private" transaction. The company will pay an average price of USD 30 per ADS, for a total cost of approximately USD 3.87 bln. The transaction will be completed within 1-2 weeks.

CDH investments, one of the original members of the "going private" group, has since dropped out of the transaction.
