China Central Television (CCTV)'s national online TV station, China Network TV (CNTV), has announced that its Cbox PC desktop client has exceeded 100 mln installs. Released three years ago, Cbox is currently available in versions for PCs, mobile devices (iOS and Android), and home media centers, the latter of which can be used on PCs connected to LCD TV sets and operated via remote control.

According to a source within CNTV, although the company has obtained an internet TV license, CNTV has yet to internally release plans for a set-top box.
