60% of Qunar Travel App Users Reserve Hotels on Check-In Day

Chinese Internet firm Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) online travel services subsidiary Qunar recently released 2012 iOS user booking data for its Qunar Travel mobile application. Qunar's report found that more than 60% of users booked hotels on the date of their check-in, while 41% of users used their mobile phones to book plane tickets three days in advance of their departure. Over 80% of Qunar Travel's iOS users said that they were "extremely attentive to" payment and purchase security.

Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Guangzhou were the four best-represented cities among wireless users, accounting for 7.88%, 7.52%, 3.38%, and 3.31%, respectively, of users nationwide.

Qunar Travel is a mobile application released by Qunar offering ticket and hotel information and booking services.
