Mobike Establishes 4,000 Shared-bike Parking Stations

Beijing-based bicycle-sharing app operator Mobike Technology has announced the designation of 4,000 shared-bike parking stations, which are identified with a "P" icon in the latest version of the Mobike app.
The parking stations, strips of public space identifiable by white borders painted on the ground and a large orange and black sign, are now present in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Tianjin, Nanjing, and Chengdu.
The Mobike smart bike parking stations use smart wireless signal emitter technology to determine how many Mobike bikes there are in any given location, as well as the status of the bikes. The stations have an integrated solar power system and can operate for extended periods of time without requiring any external power source. Users who park their bike at a station in accordance with operating rules can also receive coupons for free riding and other rewards.
