China Mobile Testing TD-SCDMA / 2G Network Compatibility

Secretary-general of Guangdong's 3G Industry Development Alliance Huang Guanhui has confirmed that China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has started one month of TD-SCDMA tests focusing on compatibility between 2G and 3G networks. The tests are taking place at all 8 of China Mobile's trial networks and will include 52 separate tests covering 300 services.
China Mobile may work with China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) and China Netcom (NYSE: CN; 0906.HK) in order to include Baoding and Qingdao in the scope of the tests.
