Xinhua, 3G.cn Launch NPC/CPPCC WAP Channel

Xinhua News Agency and 3G.cn have partnered in introducing mobile coverage of the "Two Meetings" - the National People's Congress (NPC) and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) - that recently opened session in Beijing. Mobile users can log on to 3g.cn or wap.xinhuashixun.com to get the latest news and updates on the NPC and CPPCC, and even submit proposals via the CPPCC using their mobile phones. Within a day of the channel's launch, more than 40,000 users participated in a mobile survey about the topics of most concern to them, and over 2000 users submitted proposals to the Premier.
