Baidu Reaches No. 4 in Japanese Search Market

Japanese polling organization Video Research announced figures yesterday showing that in Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) first month of operations in Japan, it has received constantly growing page views, putting pressure on all of Japan's domestic search engines and becoming the country's fourth largest search engine technology company. In addition, Baidu Japan has risen to become China's largest image and video search service in terms of page views and user retention time.
