Rumor: The9 CEO Zhu Jun to Resign

On March 26, an informed source revealed that Chen Xiaowei, former president of CDC Games, Executive Director of the Board of Directors and president of China.com (8006.HK), and director and CEO of CDC Mobile, would be joining The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) in the near future, possibly succeeding Zhu Jun as chairman or CEO. Zhu Jun had previously revealed to confidantes that he had been thinking about focusing all his energies on the Shanghai Shenhua football club during 2008, that he had already begun seeking a new CEO, and that he might step down as CEO before the beginning of the new football season.

Zhao Yurun, head of public relations for The9, denied the rumor.
