Samsung to Build LCD Facility in Southern China

Pu Genxi, Samsung Group's (SSNGY.PK) General Director for the Greater China Region, has stated the company is planning to build an LCD module plant in southern China. USD 500 mln will be invested in the plant, which will build monitors for flat panel televisions. The factory is preliminarily set for construction in Shenzhen, with Samsung currently in talks with partners over the details.
Samsung has an existing LCD module plant in Suzhou which produces components for its notebook and computer products.
