Operator Announces TD-SCDMA/CMMB Handset Bidding Results

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has announced the results of its tender for 40,100 TD-SCDMA/CMMB handsets. The company awarded contracts, by total units, as follows:
Guangzhou New Postcom - 24,000
ZTE (0763.HK: 000063.SZ) - 8,000
Yulong - 5,000
Lenovo Mobile - 3,000
Samsung - 100
The 40,100 handsets are set to be delivered in two batches, on July 31 and August 6 respectively.
