Rumor: Google, Kingsoft Cooperate on Office Software

Industry sources have revealed that Google China will soon begin cooperating with Kingsoft (3888.HK) on office software, with results of the collaboration potentially being released in H2 of this year.
Previously, Kingsoft and Google had cooperated on a Google-branded version of Kingsoft's Ciba dictionary software. A partnership between the two companies on office software could hew closely to the model of the Ciba partnership, with integration between Google's online productivity offerings and Kingsoft's WPS suite resulting in an online "Google Kingsoft Office."
