Guangdong Mobile Partners with Media on Mobile Reading

Chinese media companies including the Guangzhou Daily Newspaper Group, Southern Media Corporation, CCTV International and China National Radio have teamed up with Guangdong Mobile to launch a "Rich Media" mobile reading service. Users can now freely browse and interact with video, audio, images, texts, and animations from these sources through their handsets.

Guangdong Mobile deputy general manager Liu Yaogen has stated that the "Rich Media" project is in a commercial trial phase in which it is available to 1 mln high-end Guangdong Mobile customers. The company plans to extend the service to 20 mln users by the end of the year.
