Rumor: Google to Purchase Allyes

Chinese digital media group Focus Media (Nasdaq: FMCN) has announced plans to sell its multimedia subsidiary Allyes AdNetwork, which will be acquired by Google through its advertising subsidiary DoubleClick. Focus Media had reportedly originally planned to sell its subsidiary to Microsoft, but a deal between the two parties was not reached.

Commenting on the news, Focus Media stated that an announcement regarding Allyes AdNetwork would be made soon. Su Tong, CEO of Hylink Advertising, stated that information he had received indicated that Google would acquire Allyes AdNetwork. Google did not comment on the reports.
