China Mobile, Tietong Reveal Channel Integration Timetable

A source at China Tietong has stated that provincial branch companies of China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) have received notification from China Mobile headquarters regarding the integration of distribution channels. Between January and June of 2009, China Tietong's distribution channels will be used to promote mobile services, then from July to December, China Tietong will gradually integrate distribution channels with China Mobile, utilizing China Tietong's strengths in direct sales and retail channels to expand household and corporate market share.

In 2010, the companies will fully integrate mobile and fixed-line service distribution channels.
