Joyo-Amazon Raises Staff Salaries

Employees at Chinese B2C e-commerce site Joyo-Amazon have revealed that all employees have received wage increases and stock as part of a new benefits package. Salary increases reportedly varied depending on employee performance and the length of their tenure at the company, but averaged 5%-6% in increases. Employees also received anywhere from tens to hundreds of thousands of shares in Amazon, depending on their position in the company. Joyo-Amazon intends to expand recruitment efforts this year to bring on approximately 100 new staff.
Joyo-Amazon's director of public relations would not confirm the reports, but said that Joyo-Amazon had maintained more than 100% growth over the past three years, and that the company intends to further accelerate its growth and expansion in 2009.
