Netease COO Resigns

Chinese Internet portal Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) has announced that company COO Dong Ruibao will leave his post for personal reasons, effective March 12. Dong will continue in his role as a company director. William Ding, CEO of Netease, will now be responsible for the management of online advertising at the company.

Dong became an executive director at Netease in June 2003, participating in the company's general management and holding primarily responsibility for its online gaming business. Dong was appointed COO of Netease in July 2004.
