MIIT Loosens Software Policy Restrictions

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) implemented new software product management measures today enabling software product developers and manufacturers to directly market and sell their software products. However, trial versions of software products need to be free of charge.

Editor's Note: Previously, the MIIT required that all software products be registered before they could be sold.
