Xinjiang City Newspaper, 4/10/09

On April 9, the local State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region signed a framework agreement for service cooperation with Xinjiang Mobile, confirming that the two organizations will work together on broadband services, channel sharing, and value-added services. SARFT will also provide mobile television program resources for the mobile operator's TD-SCDMA service.

A spokesperson for Xinjiang Mobile said the company was currently retooling and integrating its billing and other systems, and that it would begin comprehensive promotion of services with the regional broadcasting authority starting in the second half of this year.
