Jiangsu Launches Cable DTV Banking Service

A television banking project developed by the Jiangsu Broadcasting Television Network Corporation and the Bank of Jiangsu has passed Nanjing Technology Bureau testing. Interactive digital television subscribers in the province can now handle bank transfers, utility bill payments, fee inquiries and other services using their remote control.
An employee at the Bank of Jiangsu explained that users must first activate interactive television services and then bind their debit card with their cable network cards before receiving access to television banking. A source at Jiangsu Broadcasting stated that the province currently has 1 mln interactive television subscribers.
