Shanghai IPTV Subs Reach 800K

Statistics from Shanghai Telecom and Shanghai-based cable TV operator Oriental Cable Network (OCN) show that through the end of 2008 Shanghai had almost 800,000 IPTV subscribers and nearly 600,000 DTV subscribers. Li Huaiyu, COO of IPTV operator Shanghai BesTV, said the company's subscribers tend to be aged between 30-50, and be from middle- to upper-class families.
