51.com to Launch "Big" Application

VP Yao Yonghe of social networking service 51.com said today that simple applications like blogs and applets no longer meet the needs of SNS users, and announced that 51.com is preparing to launch "51 Baby," a new application that integrates pet dressup, pet wars, and other popular multiplayer apps as well as ties together 51.com, instant messaging, and games. 51 Baby will be a key game development focus for 51.com moving forward.
Yao said that the new 51 Baby is like a new browser game that will allow users to add more personalized elements than currently possible, and that 51.com is optimistic about the new app, for which it expects to see more than 20 mln installations and continued growth.
