Rumor: Unicom Interest in iPhone Wanes

An industry insider has revealed that China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) and Apple "are making no progress at all" in their iPhone discussion due to Apple's uncompromising stance. Regarding the iPhone matter, "China Unicom senior management has already changed their position and the iPhone's importance to the company's strategy has diminished."
No direct comments regarding the rumor were forthcoming from either party.
