Wuhan Telecom Launches 10Mbps Home Broadband Package

Wuhan Telecom has introduced a 10 Mbps FTTH broadband package for residential compounds costing RMB 3,588 per year – the fastest home broadband offering of any China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) company. At present, the most common ADSL speeds available in China range from 1 Mbps to 2 Mbps, with the fastest being 8 Mbps. Fiber-optic connections are mostly limited to enterprise applications.
