Chongqing Telecom to Launch 3G Netbooks

Next week, Chongqing Telecom will launch the first 3G netbooks equipped with its E-surfing brand wireless broadband data cards. The first 5 models to hit the market will be the Lenovo M10, Acer ZG8, Asus 1000hc, Founder A102, and Haier X108. The netbook orders were placed by parent company China Telecom Group (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) at 70% of market value. E-surfing packages are priced between RMB 3,778 and 4,288 and include a netbook, a data card worth RMB 600, one year of wireless broadband credit worth RMB 1,200, a handset UIM card, and RMB 960 of talk time credit.
