BAMC Deputy GM on Trial for Corruption

Zhao Wenyan, former deputy manager of Beijing All Media and Culture Group (BAMC), has been brought to trial by the Procuratorate on charges of corruption and taking over RMB 1.43 mln in public funds. The case has already been accepted by Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court. In addition to his position at BAMC, Zhao also held the position of deputy director of the Beijing Star Daily. Zhao allegedly took more than RMB 1.215 mln in public money while at the Beijing Daily Star from 2002 to 2004, and then embezzled RMB 2.215 mln while at BAMC from 2004 – 2006.
