Chang Xiaobing, CEO and chairman of China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH), revealed last week that Unicom was in the process of formulating a new campaign to significantly lower 3G data fees, cutting prices by as much as half in order to vie for customers. However, China Unicom has not officially confirmed this information.
