Alibaba.com Launches U.S. Ad Campaign

Chinese B2B e-commerce firm Alibaba.com (1688.HK) will begin a USD 30 mln advertising campaign targeted primarily at the United States market, but also including audiences in Europe and the Middle East. Kelly Sang, general manager of the company's U.S. subsidiary, said its ads would appear on Fast Company magazine, as well as the CNN Money website, CNBC, and ABC's premiere of Shark Tank this Sunday.

By March, Alibaba's English website had 8.6 mln users, of which 1.3 mln were users registered in the States. The Chinese site has 32 mln users in the mainland.
