Beijing Telecom Offers 3G Data Packages for Students

Beijing Telecom has released a RMB 59 per month 3G campus broadband plan and a RMB 389 "3G Campus Broadband Pack." The RMB 59 plan includes 40 hours of on-campus network access, 5 hours of off-campus access (locally or roaming nationwide, excluding Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau), with excess minutes charged at RMB 0.10 and a cap at RMB 500. Subscribers will also receive RMB 59 worth of bonus calling credit. The "3G Campus Broadband Pack" also includes a separate 3G data card with RMB 59 in prepaid credit, and a RMB 20 recharge card. 3G data cards currently retail for over RMB 400.
