Youku Hosts Chinese Video Site for U.S. Rock Band

The popular American band Linkin Park has chosen Chinese video-sharing site Youku for its official Chinese-language video site (http://music.youku.com/LinkinPark). Users can watch Linkin Park music videos and behind-the-scenes shorts ("LPTV") on the site, as well as a video of the band greeting their fans on Youku that received more than 200,000 views in its first day online.

Youku will also host a full video of Linkin Park's Shanghai concert in late September and early October. The band will also solicit user-recorded footage of its China tour through the site, as well of videos of fans recording their answers to such questions as "What was your first time listening to Linkin Park like?" Some of the videos will be selected to appear in the band's documentary of its China tour.
