Sina Tech, 9/07/09

Chinese online game developer and operator Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) has issued a notice stating that closed beta testing for World of Warcraft is complete, and pending government approval by September 14, the game will open immediately for new registrations.

Netease will honor prior commitments to provide existing gamers with free play during the eight-day period from September 8 to September 14. In the event that Netease receives official permission to operate before September 14, it will open registration to the public, but newly registered gamers will not be able to play free of charge.
