Shanghai Unicom Bundles TV/PC With Broadband Service

Shanghai Unicom has officially released a 4Mbps broadband package bundled with an LCD all-in-one TV/computer, marking the first time a domestic operator has released such a product.

The LCD all-in-one TV/computer is the only one in China meeting 3C standards, and includes a PC equipped with an Intel Atom processor, DVD player, LCD screen with picture-in-picture settings and a remote control.

The product can directly display HDTV signals at rates of 1.2Mbps and above without additional equipment, and can be used for viewing electronic maps or shopping online. Standard size is 32", but Shanghai Unicom has custom ordered 42" and 52" models. Shanghai Unicom has already received ten orders for the bundled package.
