MIIT: Chinese Internet Users Reach 360 Mln

Figures released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on October 27 show that during the first three quarters of 2009, 16.45 mln Chinese Internet users gained broadband access for a nationwide total of 99.33 mln broadband users. Deputy director Zhu Jun of the MIIT's Department of Communications Development said China is now home to some 360 mln Internet users.
