Rumor: Shanda to Invest USD 100 Mln in JV with GBS

An informed source said yesterday that Chinese internet company Shanda Interactive (Nasdaq: SNDA) will invest USD 100 mln to establish a new entertainment JV with Golden Eagle Broadcasting System (GBS), partnering with the Hunan-based media company on music and video offerings. Former EE-Media CEO Long Danni will serve as president of the new company.
An employee at EE-Media was unaware of the news, and GBS did not respond for comment.
