Vimicro, CBC to Develop CMMB Chip Solutions

Beijing-based fabless semiconductor firm Vimicro (Nasdaq: VIMC) has announced a strategic development partnership with CMMB mobile TV operator China Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Vimicro will develop CMMB chip solutions, while CBC will provide support and assistance including CMMB handset testing and certification. Both companies will actively promote the CMMB standard and technology in the end-user market.
