Giant Interactive Establishes 5 Gaming Subsidiaries

Chinese gaming company Giant Interactive (NYSE: GA) has announced the establishment of five project-centered subsidiaries, with Giant controlling 51% in each company and the respective project teams controlling the remaining 49%. CEO Liu Wei said Giant will assist subsidiaries that perform well in launching IPOs.

Liu said that the subsidiaries' projects, including MMORPG ZT Online II, King of Kings III, medieval strategy browser game The Golden Land and Win@Giant-produced licensed 2.5D Chinese fantasy MMORPG XT Online will all launch in the next two years.
