China Reaches 7 Mln 3G Subscribers

Zhang Xinsheng, counsel at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) Telecommunications Administration Bureau, said at the "New-Generation Broadband Mobile Communications Development Forum" in Beijing that as of the end of September, China is home to nearly 7 mln 3G subscribers.
Editor's Note: China Mobile and China Unicom previously reported having 2.3 mln and 1.0 mln 3G users, respectively, as of the end of October.
