Five Minutes Obtains USD 3.5 Mln Funding

Sina Tech, 12/20/09

Xu Cheng, COO of Five Minutes, developer of the popular Chinese SNS browser game Happy Farm, has confirmed that the company has completed its first round of funding, receiving USD 3.5 mln from DFJ Dragon Fund. According to Xu, Five Minutes has already received the funding, which will be used to fund the development of new social games.

Xu said that the Ministry of Culture's soon-to-be-released social game regulation policies, and changing of the terminology in its farming game from "stealing" to "picking," will not have a major impact on its business.
