Rumor: MoC to Release Online Gaming White Paper

A source close to China's Ministry of Culture (MoC) reported today that the Ministry is considering releasing a white paper to explain current policy regarding the online gaming industry, as well as simultaneously issuing new regulatory standards. The white paper will also reportedly contain a significant volume of market research data. The white paper is scheduled to be issued before Chinese New Year in February.
Sources at the Ministry did not respond to inquiries about the rumor.
