Baidu GM of YouA E-Commerce Service Resigns

Sina Tech, 3/10/10

A spokesperson for Chinese internet company Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) public relations department has confirmed that Li Mingyuan, GM of the company's Baidu YouA B2C and C2C e-commerce site, had submitted a letter of resignation, citing personal reasons and a desire to continue his studies. Baidu has appointed Cai Hu, former GM of Baidu Union, to replace Li as general manager. Cai, in turn, will be replaced as GM of Baidu Union by Chu Dachen, GM of Baidu's business analytics department. Baidu stressed that the strategies and policies previously set for Baidu Union would not be affected by the personnel change. Cai and Chu are set to complete their transition into their new roles in April, and Baidu will appoint a new head of its business analytics department.
