Tencent to Recruit 3,000 Staff in 2010

Chinese internet company Tencent (0700.HK) has launched a spring recruitment drive in Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chengdu.

In 2010, Tencent's total headcount will exceed 10,000, with nearly 3,000 new staff recruited this year. The current recruitment drive aims to fill positions related to instant messaging, internet value-added services, e-commerce, online payment, search, information security, and online games. According to a Tencent HR official, Tencent is also looking to recruit more than 1,000 "online lifestyle designers."

Following Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, the recruitment drive will move on to Dalian, Nanjing, and Wuhan.
