Snail Game VP Discusses North America Strategy

Sina Games, 4/06/10

He Yixi, vice president of Suzhou-based online game developer Snail Game, has said that the company established its U.S.-based subsidiary, Snail Games USA, in 2009. Based in Los Angeles, Snail Games USA manages Snail Game's online games and partnerships in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Scott Miller, CEO of the U.S. subsidiary, formerly served as COO of mobile gaming firm MojoBaby.

Snail Games USA currently operates Snail Game's self-developed browser game Heroes of Gaia (previously known as Castle of Hero), and plans to release browser game Ministry of War (previously known as Civilization of Empires) and fantasy 3D MMORPG Age of Wushu. He said the subsidiary operates independently, and also revealed that Snail Games USA could potentially license and operate overseas third-party games as well.

Snail Game currently has three business models for overseas cooperation: licensing combined with operations revenue share, joint operations, and independent overseas operations.
