Rumor: Shanda Drops Ourgame Acquisition

Sina Games, 4/16/10

After conducting a 2-3 week audit and assessment of online gaming company Ourgame, Chinese internet company Shanda Interactive (Nasdaq: SNDA) has reportedly dropped its plan to wholly acquire Ourgame, according to one industry insider. Shanda originally planned to fully acquire Ourgame last week, but the deal ultimately collapsed due to price issues. The source said that Ourgame's massive losses from its self-developed 3D MMORPG The World of Jingwu were a sticking issue for Shanda.

As of April 15, Ourgame had not made any public announcements on results of an acquisition.
